Equipe Jucão is the premiere Brazilian Jiu Jitsu School in the New York City area. Founded in 2008 by 5th Degree black belt Ailson "Jucão" Brites, the school features world-class training for both beginners and experienced fighters.

Professor Jucão Promotes 3 To Blue Belt

New York – Professor Jucao surprised the evening class today by promoting Dan Quinn, Kevin Shih, and James Simmons to Blue Belt.  After having the three train with every student in class in a quick 1-minute drill, Jucao then promoted them on the spot.

Newark, NJ – Equipe Jucao took gold again at the NAGA World Championship today.  It is the team’s first tournament of 2010.  Results:

Lincoln, RI – Twelve year old JT Beirne won again!  He took the belt in expert 80-90lb 12-13 year olds at NAGA New England grappling championships, held at Twin Towers Casino here today. Congratulations JT!  Video on our youtube page.

World Champion Braulio Estima Teaches Seminar at Equipe Jucão

New York City – Today Equipe Jucão hosted Braulio Estima for its first seminar at the Manhattan location. World Champion Estima’s intensive seminar offered something for fighters at all belt levels. In addition, Estima offered this: “A black belt is a white belt who never gave up”.
